Moving off Stocky: a practical migration checklist
What to export, what to set up first, and how to run your first buying cycle in a new system without losing purchase history or supplier details.

Whether you're moving because Stocky is being retired or because you've outgrown it, the move goes smoothly if you export the right things first and set up your new system in a sensible order.
1. Export before you uninstall
Uninstalling an app can remove access to its data. Before you do anything else, export and save:
- Suppliers — names, contacts, currencies, payment terms and lead times. If an export isn't available, copy them into a spreadsheet by hand.
- Open purchase orders — supplier, products, quantities, costs and expected dates. These are stock you're already waiting for.
- Purchase order history — useful for supplier lead times and costs, even if you don't re-import it.
- Product costs — the unit cost you pay each supplier for each SKU.
- Recent stock counts — so you can check your starting stock levels.
2. Set up the foundations
In your new system, set things up in this order:
- Your organisation, currency and timezone
- Warehouses (each physical site you hold stock in)
- Products — connect Shopify to import your catalogue
- Suppliers, with realistic lead times
- Unit costs for each product
Lead times and costs drive every reorder suggestion and every valuation report, so it's worth getting them right before you trust the numbers.
3. Re-create open purchase orders
Enter the purchase orders that are still in transit so the new system counts that stock as on order. Without them, reorder suggestions will ask you to buy stock you've already bought.
4. Check starting stock
Compare stock levels in the new system with your last count and Shopify. Fix differences with stock adjustments, using a reason code so the change is recorded.
5. Run your first buying cycle in parallel
For one cycle, produce your reorder list both ways — the old process and the new system — and compare. Differences usually point at a missing lead time, a missing cost or an open PO that wasn't entered.
6. Switch over
Once the numbers agree, raise new purchase orders only in the new system and receive deliveries there, so on-hand and on-order stay accurate.
In Stokrio
Connecting Shopify imports your products, stock and order history. Import data brings in your Stocky purchase orders (all the per-PO CSV files at once), suppliers, and supplier costs and case packs, checking every row before anything is saved. Purchase orders can then be drafted from replenishment and emailed to suppliers.
